Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) Te Pūkenga was established in the northern South Island of New Zealand in 1905. Today, NMIT Te Pūkenga is a comprehensive, government owned institute designated as the primary deliverer of higher-level education to the region. NMIT Te Pūkenga delivers applied programmes up to master’s degree level, and all of these programmes of study are developed and delivered with an ethos of preparing you for the world of work. NMIT Te Pūkenga is a Category 1 institution, the highest national ranking given by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
