Algonquin College does this by offering hands-on, digitally connected, applied education and training to tens of thousands of people across the Ottawa Valley, through partner campuses around the world, and over the internet. Algonquin College is a public-sector polytechnic institution operating under the auspices of Ontario’s Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.
More than 20,000 students attend Algonquin College’s Ottawa, Perth, and Pembroke, Ontario campuses, with tens of thousands more taking online programs. The College is the largest vocational training institution in Eastern Ontario, offering programs in everything from health, to business, media and design, trades and technology, heritage trades, public safety, community studies, hospitality and tourism, outdoor adventure, and more.
The College’s primary audiences are students graduating high school and pursuing postsecondary, and those transitioning from the working world to educational studies, further education, or a second career. The College additionally offers a number of programs for high school students that better equip them to succeed in a college environment.
