Summary

Companies are increasingly challenged with how to collect and make sense of vast amounts of data in order to improve their competitive position. The Technical Systems Analysis one-year post-grad co-op program will provide you with the skills needed to be the IT professional to interface with organizational areas to gather their business data requirements and translate them into functional systems design specifications that can be successfully implemented by IT teams.

A Technical Systems Analyst plays a critical role in the facilitation of software/system development for the purpose of collecting data. You’ll communicate with clients and/or counterparts to define an application problem and then evaluate procedures and processes to find a solution, either by determining specifications or developing new systems.



This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will provide a solid foundation in information technology supplemented by critical skills including:

application software development;
business data analysis and modelling;
customer engagement/communications management;
business process and enterprise resource planning.


You’ll also have the opportunity to engage in the process of business analysis for IT through experiential learning activities such as case studies and industry-based, applied projects.
