Students pursuing the Master of Music in Conducting are given extensive podium time and are mentored by dedicated and active conducting faculty. Upon graduation students are prepared to:
seek their doctoral degree
conduct school, church or community ensembles
conduct at a community college or university
The curriculum includes:
applied conducting
analysis for conductors
research
practicum in conducting
electives chosen from courses like non-degree recitals, music technology, music history, music theory, music education, music therapy, music business, jazz studies, ensembles, and non-music courses
