This eight-month graduate certificate responds to that demand, teaching you to design inclusive and sustainable solutions that connect and integrate urban landscapes. Sheridan is one of the few colleges in Canada to offer this niche training, which is traditionally taught in master's level studies.

Be inspired by the blank canvas of opportunity around you or make the short trip to Toronto to generate more ideas. You'll also have the chance to propose real-world solutions during a field placement with an urban design firm or industry partner.

Learn from urban design experts
Sheridan is well-known as a leader in design education. Learn from professors who have strong academic backgrounds and extensive industry experience in built environments. They'll teach you how to apply software skills to create visualizations of urban environments. You'll also study concepts of mobility, wayfinding, placemaking, ecology and more.

Urban designers can work in both the public and private sectors, helping urban planners and architects create better urban environments.
