We focus on developing work that is broadly based, both in concept and execution. Our course offerings hone your conceptual skills as well as aesthetic and technical proficiency through projects such as site-specific installation, bronze casting and hot glass fabrication.

Kara Kirkland ‘15 became interested in sewing and creating costumes during her time in the sculpture department. In the winter of her senior year, she interned for the costume designer at Sesame Street, Brian Hemesath. During her internship, she worked with him on the Broadway show, Honeymoon in Vegas, then worked for the Tony Award-winning costume designer, Paul Tazewell, on the Broadway production of Doctor Zhivago. After graduation, she moved to New York, where she has since worked on costuming for John Wick: Chapter Two and MR. ROBOT
