The 120-credit hour Rehabilitation and Disability Studies Bachelor of Science program prepares students to become professionals in the fields of disability studies and services which include counseling, allied health fields (Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy), case management, human services, orthotics and prosthetics, and other related fields. Coursework covers the foundation and history of the disability movement. The program has a large field experience component that allows students to gain experience working with consumers in different areas of rehabilitation services. We focus on current research in rehabilitation strategies and processes.
Individuals often decide to work for governmental agencies, entering the workforce as a social worker, case manager or project planner. Still, government is generally not the only option for program graduates. Some elect to work in business as marketing managers or business associates.
