Course Info

Summary

This course draws on the disciplines that make up the Humanities, and applies them in different ways. For instance, you might examine the ways in which understanding history informs medical decision-making, or consider storytelling as a means of solving problems or achieving change.

You'll learn to make connections, and evaluate options. You'll develop demonstrable professional skills and experience - how to work with others, how to make your case, how to manage resources - while exploring the ideas and concepts that underpin the study of the past, literature, politics and philosophy.

Career Outcomes

This course has been designed on the basis of what we know employers are looking for in the graduates they take on, and emphasises the importance of lateral thinking, project management skills, effective communication, empathy and initiative. These skills will equip you to move into your first career, but also from this into a second, possibly quite different one, in a fluid, changing and challenging work environment.
