As a pre-law student, you will pair one-on-one advising in the Explore Center with an academic major to thoroughly prepare you for law school. Pre-Law students can choose to pursue any of Nebraska's 150 majors in preparation for a career in law. In the past some students have chosen:

English
History
Political science
Criminal justice
Business administration
Philosophy
Child, youth, and family studies

Career Outcomes

The Explore Center advisors support students in their successful applications to law school, while simultaneously preparing them for additional career opportunities that may be discovered through job shadowing or internships.

Acceptance into law school is based on a number of factors including:

GPA
LSAT scores

letters of recommendation
research/related volunteer experience
When you are ready to apply to law school, your pre-law advisor will be there to help you put all of the pieces of a successful application together.
