Summary

The Bachelor of Music Performance in Commercial Music (Voice, Guitar, Bass, and Percussion) prepares students for numerous careers throughout the music industry ecosystem. An audition is required. The program combines intensive applied study in commercial styles of performance with traditional musicianship training and music business courses to provide a comprehensive approach to career preparation in the commercial music field. Students are trained to achieve high levels of musical performance, communicate effectively as industry professionals, develop mature stage presence and charisma, and acquire skill in music marketing and promotion. Upon completion of the program, students will be qualified to pursue careers as performing artists, seek positions with major music industry-related firms, or both.
