The Linguistics major focuses on the "how and why" of all languages. It does not focus on a single language. The major is a scientific study of the origins of words, the spreading of languages and the human capacity for language.
Baylor also offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together. Baylor offers a Baylor and Beyond Living-Learning Center that is available for all majors and classifications, but it is ideal for students interested in language, culture and engaging the world around them.
