The undergraduate program provides the opportunity to develop skills in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing German and to learn about the language, literature, and culture of the German-speaking regions of the world.
Students who major or minor in Germanic Studies may use their training in a variety of occupations, including teaching, translation, international marketing, banking and commerce, diplomatic service, and journalism.
