Some people just like to create. They tell stories. They make movies. They build apps. They create video games. They build 3D worlds. They contribute to open-source software projects. They make electronic music. They build robots. They have YouTube or Twitch channels. They are the storytellers, the innovators and the entrepreneurs of the world.

We've built the premier interdisciplinary program in the emerging media arts to prepare these visionary, young, creative leaders with the skills they need to solve the problems and tell the stories they are passionate about. WE will prepare them to realize their dream job or raise money to start their dream company straight out of school.

After a foundational year in creative coding, visual expression, storytelling and entrepreneurship, students will select two emphases in Emerging Media Arts from the following:

CINEMATIC ARTS: filmmaking
VIRTUAL PRODUCTION: animation, motion graphics, 3D modeling
IMMERSIVE + INTERACTIVE MEDIA: games, VR, AR, XR, interactive and immersive environments
STORY: writing for emerging media arts
EXPERIENCE DESIGN: designing projects and experiences that synthesize the virtual and the real
SONIC ARTS: Sound design
SENSORY MEDIA: Physical computing, wearable technologies, human computer interaction, hardware and software
DATA+ ART: generating art with AI, data and the Internet of Things
Students will also take three subjects in an interdisciplinary area outside of Emerging Media Arts.
