Summary

The Elementary Education Program, working in partnership with schools, communities, and state organizations, prepares exemplary teachers, teacher educators, and scholars who work for the continual betterment of society through education. As community members, teachers, and scholars, students, and faculty actively generate, apply, and gain knowledge about teaching and learning that will enable all people to become citizens who successfully participate in the global community of the twenty-first century.

Career Outcomes

CEHS offers a nationally-recognized Elementary Teacher Education Program. Students enrolled in this program earn a Bachelor of Sciences in Education with certification to teach in grades K-6. Additional endorsements may be earned in Early Childhood Education, Inclusive Early Childhood Education, Special Education, ELL, Foreign Language, Art Education, and Music.
