Course Info
The live audition will consist of a 2-hour class incorporating classical ballet, pointe work (if applicable), plus a 1-hour class in modern and improvisational work.
Dancers should also come prepared to perform a short solo, 1-3 minutes in length, in the event that the panel requests additional work.
Assessment is based on basic technical proficiency in ballet and/or contemporary dance, physicality, creativity, receptivity, and authenticity of movement expression. Each dance applicant will also interview with a dance division faculty member.
Solid light colored tights, solid colored leotard, ballet and pointe shoes (if applicable). Bare feet for modern.
All dance attire must be close fitting. Hair must be secured away from face and neck.
