This American Chemical Society approved curriculum provides a rigorous background in chemistry and is well suited for students who wish to obtain a deep knowledge of all of the traditional subdisciplines of this field: analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry and biochemistry. The curriculum prepares students for professional careers in chemistry, biochemistry, or forensic chemistry and advanced degree programs in chemistry, biochemistry, and medically related fields.
A chemistry degree allows you to develop excellent laboratory techniques but as it overlaps with other degrees, it also gives you skills that are useful in the areas of biology and medicine, physics and engineering, and geology and earth science.
