To start, you’ll be work-force ready. During your first year you’ll build basic business skills. In your second you’ll take specialized courses in:
• managerial and cost accounting
• financial management
• business law and statistics
All your courses will develop your technical accounting skills and expertise.
Start building industry connections and get real world experience between first and second year. The 16-week practicum is optional, but another asset.
If an accounting designation is your goal, this diploma is a starting point. Your courses are on the pathway to a [Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation].
If you want a degree, you don't have to leave Lakeland. Our partnership with Athabasca University gives you two options.
• Bachelor of Management is an extra year.
• Stay for two years, and earn a Bachelor of Commerce.
