Summary

The Duquesne University School of Pharmacy offers a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) independent of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree to students interested in pharmaceutical research. The BSPS program is open to first-year students or easily allows for transfer from the Pharm.D. program during the junior year.

Students in the BSPS program apply the principles and theories of chemistry, biology, biochemistry and engineering in designing and developing new drugs and therapies. The BSPS program provides a theoretical and technical grounding in the natural sciences as well as in the different areas of pharmaceutical development.
