The Department of Biological Sciences boasts many talented faculty who teach courses and welcome undergraduates into their labs who are seeking research experience. Four professional academic advisors are available to assist you in planning your courses as well as helping to answer other questions that arise.
Our program emphasizes original research and prepares students for careers in research and teaching. Cutting-edge faculty and student research spans the discipline of biology, including biodiversity, cell biology, development, evolution, structural biology, restoration and community ecology, synaptic function, and circuitry for sensorimotor integration.
