Summary

The Biochemistry major is designed to provide a firm foundation in biochemistry and prepare students for careers in health-related disciplines, medical research or biotechnology. A solid background in biochemistry is an important advantage for medical school and many Biochemistry majors declare a Pre-Health track. Biochemistry students are encouraged to take more biology courses than the typical chemistry major.
