structural
As a program of The Charles W. Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction in the UNL College of Engineering, we are developing the "architectural engineer of the future": someone who is technically savvy, innovative, entrepreneurial, globally and socially aware, and a community leader.
Our 5-year program, one of only a few in the nation, combines a bachelor's and master's degree so our students graduate with an ABET-accredited Master of Architectural Engineering (M.A.E.), gaining a head start on their careers.
UNL architectural engineering graduates are in high demand by industry, as few institutions offer a degree in architectural engineering.
Career opportunities include working in:
commercial construction, building energy design systems
designing lighting, structural, electrical and acoustical systems
building commissioning
engineering consulting or sales
facilities operations
