Our major in animal sciences (ANSC) will prepare you for a career in veterinary medicine, medicine, equine science, food safety, animal and allied industries and related areas. The program is also excellent preparation for graduate studies in fields such as animal nutrition, biochemistry and molecular biology, microbiology, growth biology, meat science and muscle biology, breeding and genetics, and reproductive biology.
The Meat Science option will prepare you for a career in food safety and quality assurance. The courses in this Animal Sciences major option will also prepare you to work in a wide variety of careers ranging from live animal management to research and development in the food industry.
